In an around Bangalore - Nandi Hills.
It
is essentially a small hill, about 60 kms from where I reside. You can
drive up to the top of the hill, where there is a garden, and an ancient
temple. It might have been a beautiful place, but for the
ill-maintained garden, and lot of construction (presumably for some
resort-cottages) that will block the nice view you can have from the top
of the hill.
We arrived around
noon, so the view during the day was marred by haze. The garden wasn't
much to speak of, but the rock face by the side of the
temple was a pleasant place to sit, take in the nature, and watch the
sunset.
