While climbing up, by the time we reached the region of flower-laden slopes, we were too tired to take photos, or even to admire them. But when we were descending, we had just started when we found those flowers. Thus, for the last post in this "series", I have pictures of flora and fauna (though mostly the former) we saw on our way down.

I am stunned with the Himalayan Phoole ke Bahar dekhke. Amazing flowers and wonderful capture; a little crop will make these pics perfect.
Beautiful flowers - love the blue ones the most
@Pijush: Thanks, I think you are right that cropping will make these pictures more focussed on the object of interest. However, I usually refrain from cropping (or other kinds of post processins) for few reasons:
- I want to include the surroundings as well. These were not taken solely as macors
- I prefer to keep the photos as I captured them [I know, we have talked on this before ;-) but again, my preferenc]
- I am rather lazy to process, until absolutely necessary. I had cropped the first picture in this post, because the original picture was taken from a good distance, and the flowers were not clearly visible in the complete photo. so I
enlarged the photo and cropped the area around flowers.
@Pooja: thanks! These blue ones were less than half a cm in dia!
WoW...some wonderfully captured & composed shots with lovely lighting & the colours as usual...Excellent!
I've been intending to make a trip to Uttarkhand next year and wish to trek right up to the Valley of Flowers. From what I've heard and read elsewhere and now also in your series of posts here, August may not be the best month to undertake that trip because of the landslides and other hurdles expected during the rainy season. However, my enthusiasm remains to visit exactly that time since the flowering season in the mountains is at the peak then.
Your series of posts on the Himalayan Adventure - I to VIII, has been fabulous and I have thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you for sharing the information and also those superb and awesome pictures of the mountains. :)
@Kalyan: Thanks, once again :-)
@Indicaspecies: That was our intention too :-) Yes, August may not be the right season to travel in those parts, but it is the only time when you can see the flowers in bloom. One member of our group had been to VoF thrice earlier, and she told us that this was the first time there were so many obstacles in the course. So, do not be discouraged by our experience :-)
And many thanks for liking the series :-)
Awww...the lamb looks so cute!
