Early next morning, we woke up to a clear day, and caught beautiful views of the snow covered peaks.
The sun rising over the Mighty Himalayas A part of the Kedarnath shrine in the foreground
Snow covered peaks in all their glory
The Temple of Kedarnath As viewed from the backside (It was impossible to get a complete front view)
Imposing entrance of the temple Himalayas in the background look enchanting
Early morning activity
Devotees exiting from the side entrance
An ancient temple dedicate to Lord Shani

As I see more and more of your AWESOME pics, I simply can't stand Amazed, appreciating the beauty of the nature and more importantly the one who have captured this beauty....simply WONDERFUL!
Amazing shots.. Kedarnath is considered to be one of the holly temples and You have done the punnya by visiting it :-). I have to be there. Excellent work Sigma.
@Pijush: As our taxi driver put it - aap log aaye nahin, aapko to bhagwan ne bulaya hai :-) It is indeed a place worth visiting, even if it is not for religious sentiments, but for watching the natural beauty.
Great pictures Sigma; would definitely love to be in such an adventure. Thank you so much for the several comments on my blogs; left answers there! Was a bit absent lately because was abroad on a professional trip last week. One day I’ll probably show some pictures from a somehow unusual destination... Trying to recover some time, I’m still posting on Germany (Koblenz, December 2005) on Blogtrotter. Have a great week! Gil
